Every year, on August 17, our nation celebrates our Independence Day. This annual celebration is marked by a flag ceremony, which is held at each institution. The goal is for us to remember and honor the services of the heroes who have fought for the independence that we enjoy today. We must realize that the freedom we enjoy today was born from the blood, sweat and tears of heroes.

Ladies and gentlemen

In celebrating our independence day, of course there is a meaning that we must take from the struggle of our heroes. The spirit of patriotism, love for our homeland and the nation, as well as continuing to strive in order to realize national unity and integrity as the aspects we must have and hold tightly as the young generation of the nation's hope. We must continuously cultivate this spirit, we grow and develop it in our hearts so that we can fill our independence with sustainable development, because sustainable development can only be realized within the framework of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika or Unity in diversity, different but still one. That is the spirit we must maintain and hold tightly in our hands

The current era of information and communication disclosure has indeed opened and provided many opportunities and benefits for us. But on the other hand it also leaves challenges and threats that are no less fierce. In this case, we as the young generation are expected to strengthen our national character and spirit, so that we are not easily being provoked by issues that are misleading and threaten the integrity and unity of the nation.
